Prayer is a powerful tool to master. It is critical in our relationship with God to
experience His glory fully. This relationship exists where the communication starts
between Him and us. It’s a foundation for the relationship we will be building with Him.
Most relationships are built on communication; this one is no different. Prayer is more
for ourselves than it is for God. In prayer, we praise God. It’s a safe space for us to be
open and let it all out. A place free from judgment and ridicule.
Prayer has become an act of service and a request from loved ones. Friendships are
growing through worship, along with our relationships. Letting someone know, “ I’ve
been praying for you,” or placing a prayer request to a friend is becoming common.
Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and
petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” This Scripture text tells us to
stop worrying and turn to God through prayer. There are so many different ways to pray.
Asking God for a request, general conversation, rambling our words that don’t seem to
make sense, but we know God understands, and thanking God before our blessings
even occur. There is no right or wrong way to pray; start talking. There is a form of
pureness in prayer, knowing nothing you can say is wrong. Our creator gave us a place
to verbally put in requests, praise him, and share with others. It has the potential to
break down the chains of what we are facing, restore relationships, and give hope to the
hopeless. Start a prayer group with some friends. Allow prayer to form a strong
community for everyone of us. There is such power in the prayer of multitudes.
